68 year old Cajun raised in the isolated area of Acadia Parish before Cajun was cool.

Stubbornly clung to the practice of speaking Cajun French in spite of the cultural genocide practiced by the academic world.

Raised is a family who very stubbornly clung to all the ethnic cultural practices of the francophone Cajun community.

Lived with my paternal grandparents who spoke no English and did not appear to be interested in ever learning the language, for most of my student years

Experienced a strong interest in learning all the various cultural habits of my Cajun family.

Practiced and enjoyed various public speaking and theatrical plays from the 1^st to the 12^th grade of High School.

Studied Audio Technology at Louisiana University at Lafayette using the campus studio of KRVS (FM88.7) public radio.

Studied Video Production Technology at Acadiana Open channel (AOC Cable TV Station) a public COX broadcasting facility.

Developed and ran a weekly Cajun French 90 minute show called “Novelle et Commitaire” (News and Commentary) for 2 years.  Referred to my many as the Cajun Rush Limbaugh.

Participated 2 years at the Ernest Hemingway look-a-like contest at Sloppy Joe’s in Key West Florida and using French as his address speech, recognizing that “Poppa” was quite fluent in French, a result of his years in Paris.

A 10 minute speaking and dancing role in the hit off Broadway play “Theatre of Dreams” a Gene Hirschel Production.

First runner up in a three state dance contest for “Best Cajun Waltz”.

Volunteer for Cajun Cultural Center in English and French.
